Finally, SHIFT-CLICK the REGIONS in ALL THREE TRACKS (or, go to the Edit Menu and choose Select All). Then go to the EDIT MENU and select JOIN. This combines all three tracks to just one. What are some advantages of leaving the tracks separate? What are some advantages of combining them as you've done in this last step?

Download and launch the "DRUM FILL" File: Drum Fill.zip or Drum Fill.mp3 (either unzip the compressed GarageBand file or drag-and-drop the MP3 audio file into the TRACK WINDOW to create a new track).
This file consists of a piano, bass, and drums playing two 8-measure R & B style phrases. HOWEVER, the drums drop out for the 8th measure of each phrase. Your job: record (in real-time) drum fills for these two "empty measures."
Choose a "drum kit," experiment and find drum sounds you want to use for the drum fills. First rehearse, then RECORD your drum fills as you play to the other tracks. Do this in "real time," although you may change the tempo as you like.
